The original Seafood Marcel Baey Training Centre (CFPMB) was created in 1968 by local professionals (owners, wholesale fish merchants, fishmongers, fish curers and salters). The processing sector being an extremely prosperous activity, it therefore generated a need for labour (filleters, tidal workers).
Over the time, the centre’s activity has evolved thanks to the implementation of a strategy of development and diversification of trainings. The market being in constant mutation, the centre later decided to offer its customers new training programs focused on other sectors, such as fruit and vegetables, meat and cheese.
Hence the new name “CFPMT”: Boulogne’s seafood and agro-food training centre.
